Teknion’s Washington DC showroom was renovated to offer a new dramatic backdrop with minimal environmental impact. This LEED Gold project boasts a custom millwork wall made of FSC certified MDF with cutouts to mirror the custom area rug design, custom dyed carpet, custom chair display and Lonseal flooring in the lobby area. The Teknion Altos and Optos operable glass partitions provide the area with abundant natural light, thus reducing the requirement for artificial lighting. This project was constructed with materials and finishing methods resulting in products that are certified to GREENGUARD status and in line with LEED credits for low ‐emitting materials and has created a neutral stage to exhibit Teknion’s diverse product.
